Vassalboro Community School is seeking a student-centered, enthusiastic and energetic education leader. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and leadership skills to promote increased student achievement, both academically and socially. They will enhance a safe learning environment, foster positive school and community relationships, and maintain the goals and mission of VCS. Preference will be given to those who have a Maine Assistant Principal Certification (045) and have experience with the following:

• Student discipline using a PBIS model

• 504 plans

• the Marzano Teacher Evaluation Model

• Use of ReadySub, or substitute scheduling and management

• Athletic Director duties for the following middle school sports: soccer, basketball, cheering, baseball and softball

• MEA test assessment administration

• leadership and ability to lead school-wide initiatives

Vassalboro Community School School is a PreK-8 school with a thriving library program that services our 425 students. We are seeking a candidate that is a dynamic teacher with enthusiasm for learning, literacy, and connecting to the existing wider curriculum through teaching and maintaining a diverse collection of resources.
